Avril Lavigne is a Canadian singer-songwriter, fashion designer, actress, and philanthropist, who recorded the song “Smile”. Lavigne was born Avril Ramona Lavigne on September 27, 1984 in Belleville, Ontario. The song was written by Lavigne and it was taken as the second single from her fourth studio album Goodbye Lullaby. Avril performed the song, while promoting the album, on Walmart Soundcheck, on “2DayFM”, and also on T4. Lavigne has performed the song on the German show Schlag den Raab on 4 June 2011. The song was also recorded on Lavigne’s concert on the aol.com website, to the AOL Sessions, with no release date announced yet. Lavigne performed a medley of the song and her previous single What The Hell on the British show Britain’s Got Talent on June 1, and at the America’s Got Talent 6th session on July 13.

Jason Joel Desrouleaux (born September 21, 1989), better known by his stage name Jason Derülo, is an American singer-songwriter, actor and dancer, who recorded an electro pop and dance-pop song in titled “Don’t Wanna Go Home”. It was released on May 20, 2011 as the lead single from his upcoming second studio album, Future History. “Don’t Wanna Go Home” samples the song “Show Me Love” by Robin S. and incorporates an interpolation of “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)” by Harry Belafonte. Most critics praised the song’s production and lyrics, while others observed its lack of originality. The song has reached the top-ten in Australia and Ireland, and has peaked at number one in the United Kingdom, becoming Derülo’s second number-one single there. An accompanying music video was directed by Rich Lee, and features Derülo in various dance sequences in an industrial warehouse.

Usher Terry Raymond IV (born October 14, 1978), who performs under the mononym Usher, is an American recording artist, dancer, and actor who recorded the song “There Goes My Baby”. He is considered around the world to be the reigning King of R&B. “There Goes My Baby” is a, “slinky” down-tempo R&B ballad, with infused hints of neo soul. It is composed in a “moderate groove” of eighty beats per minute, and is set in common time. It is written the key of C major and Usher’s vocals span from the low note of E₄ to high note of C₆.  It follows the chord progression A–F₇–G. The song makes use of Usher’s falsetto range, which was warmly received by critics. The accompanying music video for the song was filmed on June 16, 2010 in Malibu, California, and directed by Anthony Mandler.  It took fifteen hours for the shoot. A music video for “I’m Into You” began production in Chichen Itza, Mexico on April 2, 2011. It was released on May 2, 2011 at Today and the video depicts the singer on a beach with her love interest and also shows scenes where she dances with two back-up singers as well as featuring the singer on a Mayan pyramid. The video received critical acclaim, praising her dance ability and beauty.
